We are looking for a Senior DB Developer - location: Cluj-Napoca, to work for a company - global leader of online bets that owns the biggest online games platform in the world.

Job purpose: Work within a team of database developers designing, maintaining and enhancing systems. This person is a key player and has the competence to lead architectural decisions not only for DB but also the application architecture overall. The person works in conjunction with other IT/Development and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from all application tiers perspective. Beside conceptual work, this persons responsibility is also to prepare and lead to the technical path, other team members should follow and benefit from.

Main Responsibilities:

- Leading role in conceptual (re)design of applications interacting with all IT and Business parties within the company (venture process for preliminary, detailed investigation ).
- Designs / Implements and maintains DB SW modules(s) within company wide and also internal projects following the scrum methodology, performing coding, unit testing and integration testing functions to ensure each software module meets requirements and is bug-free.
- Technical mentorship for other database developers.
- Defining standards and non functional db requirements that are well understood and accepted by application development, architecture and operations.
- Ensure that non functional db requirements are met in every task / story / venture involved.
- Talk to business people directly, understand their needs and build the bridge between business and technology.

Requirements:

- University degree in Technical domain.
- 2 years software development.
- 3 years db / backend related software development, overall > 7 years of IT experience.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Applications Design.
- Knowledge of Database Design, Database Administration and relating technologies --> technical background.
- Deep knowledge of more than one db engines (Oracle or MsSQL and their programming languages).
- DB development tools (TOAD, Management Studio).
- Tuning of data access of applications (execution plans, profiler, tracing tools),  case tools (designer, erwin), ADO or JDBC.
- Experience as IT Generalist, database administrator, Qdesigner / Powerdesigner and experience with .net framework, ADO, java development, JDBC, Unix and MYSQL, o/r mapper hybernate represents advantages.
- Having the competence to (re)design broad system and application landscapes within a big IT organization that develops and operates one of the biggest Internet Entertainment Portals in the world.
