Din cele 2 posibilitati eu tind sa cred ca setarile de securitate sunt gresite pentru ca mesajul de eroare nu specifica nimic despre &quot;Time out expired&quot; si este&nbsp;dat aproape instantaneu cand incerc sa accesez Tables sau Views&nbsp;din server-ul legat.&nbsp;Eu sunt incepator in SQL 2000 server si v-as ruga sa ma indrumati la setarile de securitate. Precizez ca pe ambele masini ruleaza Windows 2000server si SQL2000 server. Logarea la SQL se face pe ambele masini cu autentificare SQL si au acelasi user si aceeasi parola. Incercarea de legare am facut-o din EM-&gt;Secutity-&gt;New linked server-&gt;Server Type=SQL dupa care server-ul a aparut in nodul Linked server.
