Tu chiar vrei pe named pipes?
Daca nu neaparat da asta e oroarea vezi de firewall adica sa lase porturile SQL http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/287932.

Late edit: super resursa asta http://blogs.msdn.com/sql_protocols/archive/2007/03/31/named-pipes-provider-error-40-could-not-open-a-connection-to-sql-server.aspx, nu stiam de ea a ajuns la favorites.

Nu bag mana in foc ca va functiona dar incearca sa mergi in SQL Server Configurations Manager unde vei gasi SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration -> Protocols for MSSQLSERVER si cand dai click vei vedea in dreapta printre altele Named Pipes si VIA care s-ar putea sa fie "Disabled" - trecele pe Enable (in meniul de click dreapta) si apoi in SQL Server 2005 Services vei gasi SQL Server Browser - da-i Start (in meniul de click dreapta)

Sper ca asta sa rezolve problema, bafta.

Incerc sa creez o legatura din C# la Sql Server si imi da aceasta eroare:

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

Am intrat in SQL Server Surface Area Configuration si la Remote Connections este setat Local and remote connection si Using both TCP/IP and named pipes.
Ce altceva as mai putea sa fac?
