Imi puteti recimanda un tutorial comprehensive opt asa ceva,reconosc nu am lucrat cu dts in 2000 doar ceva cu iss.

Am de facut un job care salveaza intr-un xml din ora in ora rezultatele unui query si m-a gandit sa fac cu un paket dts.

Inca o intrebare daca folosesc bussins intelegence studio pot salva packetul ca fiind pt sql 2000 nu iss,cumva mi-ar fi mai uspor asa sa lucrez ma gandesc?

Pachetele SSIS au "din fabricatie" (---> template-ul "Integration services project" din VS) format "dtsx". SSIS ofera suport pentru pachetele DTS - exista de exemplu task-ul "Execute DTS 2000 package" - pachetul DTS poate fi executat, insa nu poate fi modificat cu designerul din VS. Nu poti sa "faci" un pachet DTS 2000 folosind BI Studio. Dar, dupa cum poti citi in BOL,

"You can edit DTS packages, even when the SQL Server 2000 tools are not present, by using an updated version of the DTS Designer that is available for download. You cannot edit DTS packages in Business Intelligence Development Studio. You can edit SSIS packages only in BI Development Studio"

Stau si ma intreb atunci chiar nu exiosta o scula de conversie dtsx to dts ,mie mi-ar fi mult mai la indemna sa lucrez cu bi studio decat cu vechiul dts desginer cu care nu am mai avut deaface pana acu?
